Welcome to Ask Masi
Are you a healthcare provider caring for a pregnant or postpartum person, or a child from birth to age six with a mental health concern?
Do you feel uncertain about what steps to take?
Please contact us. No question is too small.
Ask Masi is a free service for perinatal to preschool care providers, including obstetricians, family doctors, paediatricians, midwives, nurse practitioners, and public health nurses.
Our goal is to support you in identifying and addressing your patients' mental health needs by answering your questions and providing you with recommendations and resources.
Phone Service
If you have a question about managing your pregnant, postpartum or young patient's mental health concern, please call us or book a consultation.
Everyone who contacts Ask Masi will speak with one of our team members and can be provided with resources and referral information for programs in the community.
Psychiatry Consult
Physicians and nurse practitioners can speak with a perinatal or child psychiatrist about a specific patient in real-time.
The perinatal or child psychiatrist will provide coaching and consultation on screening, assessing, diagnosing, and starting treatment for your patient.
You must have your patient's consent to share their information with us.
Prescribers can bill OHIP for this consultation call (Billing code K730).
Please note, Ask Masi is a provider consultation service, not a referral service.
